Drug and alcohol abuse is a social problem created by permissiveness and ignorance. Permissive drug policies in Australia have given marijuana and other drug users and pushers opportunities to circumvent laws and police. Even if marijuana cultivation operations are broken up in Australia, fines of $5,000 and less are imposed, rarely do offenders go to jail and the operation sets up in another location. Australia lays claim to an estimated 20,000 grow ops. Connections to people involved with crime and other drugs are not uncommon for those using marijuana in this country.
Narconon Australia was established to address the FALSE information promoting the safety and ‘harmlessness’ of marijuana and other drugs. We are also here to help those already trapped into using drugs, and offer them a way out of their addiction or chronic use through a rehabilitation program that works.
Narconon Australia was incorporated in August of 2001 by the name Get Off Drugs Natrually Foundation as a non-profit organization in Australia. We have delivered drug lectures to well over 10O,000 people, mostly children, put out 350,000 booklets on the truth about drugs. Hundreds have now been sent to a Narconon rehab. We see the program work. Parents are getting their children back! There is also the complete rehabilitation of families as an off shoot product of Narconon.

We have a Friends of Narconon group which consists of parents and friends and graduates of the program, new members are always welcome.
Narconon Australia is an independent, Non-Profit Corporation known as the Get Off Drugs naturally Foundation serving the Greater Australian area, Asia and Pacific region. Our residential centre outside of Melbourne is set in beautiful bush land and offers a calm, relaxing place where a drug or alcohol user can momentarily escape their environment and focus on over coming their addiction. The centre has 12 acreas of gardens surrounded by 80,000 acres of National Park. It is a 48 bed facility.
Origianally founded by DR, Nerida James ND. in 1989 as the first step out patient program, along with Alex Robertson and John Sullivan. Whom 10 years later are continuing members of the Board of Directors.
The purpose of our Drug Education Victoria group is to provide drug prevention services to create a growing number of drug-free youth in groups and schools . This group refers people in need of help to the residential centre located in East Warburton in the beautiful Yarra Valley region.
Narconon International is licensed to use the research discoveries of L. Ron Hubbard in the fields of education and drug rehabilitation for secular and social betterment pursuits. The Get Off Drugs Naturally Foundation has been licensed with Narconon International since August, 2001.
